Stinging Pest

Bees

Bees are fuzzy insects 1/2 to 1 inch long, with yellow-and-black striped bodies, wings, and pollen baskets on their legs. They are vital pollinators but can sting defensively. Avoid swatting; contact beekeepers for hive removal.

Wasps

Wasps have slender bodies 1/2 to 1 inch long, with narrow waists, smooth stingers, and yellow-black markings. They build paper nests and can sting more than once. They control other pests but avoid nests to prevent aggression.
